Vets on Call follows the busy lives of two dedicated veterinary surgeons, Eamonn Connor and Paul McDermott, as they work up to 20 hours a day in their huge, isolated large animal practice in the rugged West of Ireland. Set against a backdrop of breathtaking Co. Mayo scenery and stunning aerial photography, this absorbing 6-part Regional series captures the real life drama of veterinary medicine.
Vets on Call series 2 RTE 1 2004
‘Vets on Call 2’ follows the plights of two Veterinary Practices, in Cork and Kildare. Riverside Veterinary Practice has an animal hospital in Bandon and two outlying clinics in Carraigaline and Kinsale. They also have vets on call in the field, attending huge state of the art farms with herds of over 250 cattle.Vets on Call series 3 RTE 1 2005
‘Vets On Call 3’ follows one of the few all women Practices of Ireland, Erika Borge, Cathy Burns and Locum Suzy Maguire. Together they cater for both small and large animals in the Ceithre Cos Veterinary Clinic.
Vets on Call series 4 RTE 1 2007
The fourth series of ‘Vets on Call’ takes viewers back to Mayo to Eamonn Connor’s Crossmolina practice, where RTÉ’s hugely successful Regional docu-soap‚ was first filmed. Luckily for Eamonn, who now has five children, recent veterinary graduate Siobhan O’Malley from Westport has joined forces with him, and together they are treating everything from deer to dolphins, as well as the usual run of livestock from their Mayo clientele.
